Men’s Lacrosse Falls at Keystone College, 17-9
LA PLUME, Penn. – Nathan Haley scored five times and Anthony Andolina added two more, but it wasn't enough as MCLA fell 17-9 at Keystone College this afternoon in nonconference Men's Lacrosse action.
THE BASICS:
- Date: Wednesday, March 13, 2024
- Score: MCLA 9, Purchase 17
- Records: MCLA Trailblazers 0-4 | Keystone College Giants 3-3
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- An early pair of Haley goals and another man-up tally by Andolina gave MCLA a 3-1 lead just over five minutes into the contest, but the hosts responded with the final four goals of the quarter, including two by Chase Richardson, to take a 5-3 advantage into the first break.
- The teams played even in the second with Haley, Andolina and Neal Brierley scoring for the Trailblazers and Wilson Ingalls, Ryan Smith and Richardson answering for the hosts to maintain a two-goal, 8-6 lead at the half.
- With five different Keystone goal scorers and the MCLA offense stalling, the Giants pulled away to make it 13-6 at the end of the third.
- Following two more Cam Wallace goals to begin the fourth, a Luke Rhoss man-up tally ended a 7-goal Keystone run to make it 15-7 with just over ten minutes to play.
- Haley scored twice more for the Trailblazers late in the fourth, but the Giants held on for the 17-9 victory.
- Keystone goalie Edwin Himmel-Maines (W, 3-3) earned the win making 13 saves while MCLA keeper Boden Dock (L, 0-4) made 31 saves in the losing effort.
