Golf Competes in Duke Nelson Invitational

MIDDLEBURY, VT— The MCLA Golf team competed in the 40th Annual Duke Nelson Invitational hosted by Middlebury College at the Ralph Myhre Golf Club this weekend.

Hamilton College claimed the team title with a total score of 593 (+25), while the University of Hartford (595, +27) and Babson College (597, +29) rounded out the top three. MCLA (679, +111) finished 23rd.

Hamilton's Ramon Aroca Gonzalez (104, -2) earned medalist honors edging out Western New England University's Derek Johnson (106, even) by just two strokes. Sophomore Mat Gover (149, +7) was the top finisher for the Trailblazers finishing 13th.

The Trailblazers next host the MCLA Invitational on Wednesday at Waubeeka Golf Links in Williamstown.
