Men’s Hockey Fall at St. Michael’s
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. – The MCLA Men's Ice Hockey team's season-opening road trip wrapped up this evening at the Cairns Arena for a non-conference matchup with the St. Michaels College Purple Knights. Mathew Gover had 33 saves, but four different Purple Knights lit the lamp as St. Michael's took the game 4-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Following a scoreless first period, St. Michael's scored the first goal of the game at the 8:28 mark of the second period. Patrick Last was credited with the goal, and Hans Forselius assisted.
- The Purple Knights added three more goals in the third period. The goals were scored by Ty Bloom (5:23, assisted by Ashton Allain and David Ciancio), SJ LeComte (8:33, Brennan McFarland and Bloom), and Matti Tauriainen (16:12, Forselius and Ian Wolanin).
- Sophomore goalie Mathew Gover (Atkinson, NH / East Coast Wizards) stopped 33 of the 37 shots on goal that he faced but still dropped to 0-2-0 for the season. Evan Plunkett kept a clean sheet to move to 1-0-0.
