Men’s Soccer Fall at Worcester, 2-0

WORCESTER, Mass. — The MCLA Men's Soccer Team took to the road this afternoon, meeting up with the Worcester State University Lancers at John Coughlin Field. Worcester scored a pair of early first-half goals before hanging on for a 2-0 edge over the Trailblazers.

• Series History: MCLA leads the all-time series 24-17-7, despite the Lancers taking last season's matchup in North Adams by a score of 1-0 on October 11, 2024. Worcester also won the first-ever meeting of the teams 1-0 on October 12, 1968.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lancers scored both of their goals in the opening frame. The first tally went to Worcester State's Wilber Garcia (6^th minute, unassisted) while the second was credited to Brian Arias (18^th minute, unassisted).
• Trailblazers' keeper Oliver LeLacheur (Medford, MA) stood tall through the afternoon, stopping 11 of the 13 shots on goal that he faced, but still saw his record drop to 2-6-0. The keeper tandem of Tobias Schneider and Zach Nelson combined to keep a clean sheet, with Schneider stopping both of MCLA's shots on net and moved to 3-5-0.
