HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dean opened the scoring with a goal by Miro McIntyre-Clere (14', assisted by Kacie Consolini) for the only goal of the first half.
- MCLA found an equalizer with just over three minutes on the clock when Kylie DeMaio (Roxbury, NY) controlled a long boot from Mallory Amirian (Haverhill, MA) near midfield. DeMaio charged the ball into the Bulldog defensive end, was stopped by one defender, but maintained control of the ball and continued into the 18-yard box. She drew the keeper off her line and attempted to fire off a shot that was blocked by a Dean defender, but went right back to DeMaio's (87', unassisted) foot for a shot on a wide-open net. The goal was the sixth of the season for the junior.
- Trailblazers' keeper Destiny Alexandra Rivas (Leicester, MA) stopped six of seven shots for the home team in the first half. Mallory Amirian (Haverhill, MA) stopped both shots she faced in the second half to move her record to 0-1-3. Dean's Lexi Gerow stopped ten of 11 shots and is now 2-10-1 for the season.
- The Dean goal in the 14th minute snapped a 333-minute and 51-second shutout streak for the MCLA keepers. It was the longest scoreless streak for the Trailblazers since a 467-minute and nine-second run during the 2011 season.
