Garber selected as the MASCAC Rookie of the Week
North Adams, MA-- MCLA first year Right Side Hitter Chloie Garber (Eagle River, AK) has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference (MASCAC) Rookie of the Week. Garber was outstanding in both games of this weekends Tri-Match at MCLA.
Framingham State's Hailey Sanders was tabbed as the conference's player of the week.
Garber helped lead the Trailblazers to a split of the Tri-Match with Norwich and Utica. In the opener against Norwich, Garber collected 13 kills and 7 digs in the 3-0 setback for MCLA. In the nightcap, she notched a season best 20 kills, 8 digs, and 5 aces to lead MCLA to a hard fought 3-2 victory.
She currently leads the team in kills with 45 on the season. She leads the MASCAC in kills per set and is 6th in total kills.
Garber and the Trailblazers open up conference play tomorrow night at 7pm against Framingham State.
