Garber named Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season
North Adams, MA- For the fourth time this season, MCLA's Chloie Garber has been named the MASCAC Rookie of the Week. Garber and the Trailblazers secured the fourth seed in this week's conference championships following their win over Bridgewater State on Saturday. MCLA will now host the Bears in the opening round of play tomorrow.
Worcester State's Natalie Gillis was tabbed as the conferences player of the week.
Garber wrapped up the regular season in style. She helped MCLA go 2-0 on the week while averaging 13.5 kills, 12 digs, and 3 aces for the Trailblazers. She notched 17 kills and 13 digs in a win over Cobleskill to start things off. Garber would culminate the week with a 10 kill, 11 dig performance in a win over the Bears.
Garber remains at or near the top of many statistical categories within the conference, including kills and kills per set.
MCLA will host Bridgewater State tomorrow at 6pm in the Quarterfinal round of the single elimination tournament.
